Unfortunately, the choice of tariffs available to you as a pre-pay energy customer are much more limited than if you were on a credit meter (i.e. if you were to pay after you’ve used the energy). This typically means that as a pre-payment customer you will pay more for your energy than a post-payment customer.

If your pre-pay energy account is linked to Onedox, we will automatically let you know what the best available pre-payment tariffs are, however you should also consider contacting your existing energy supplier to see if they will swap you over to a credit meter, as this could help you save significantly more.

One potential downside to moving to a credit meter to be aware of, is that it can be less easy to track precisely and budget how much you are spending on your energy.
